Wow...
The only brand spankin' new car I ever owned, bought it right off the show room floor was a red 1986 Fiero V-6.

Holy Crap.... Pardon my french. But I now have another forum to add to my Where's Tyler List. His story has definitely put Frazee on the map. I've been registered here for a short while and just decided to search his name, then found this.
I regret to inform you that this topic came up here 6 days too late as tyler peacefully passed Feb 14. We did however celebrate his life with what we called the "Tyler Shipman Memorial Car Show" during the Frazee Turkey Days celebration weekend. I drove my poor Fiero from Cleburne, TX all the way to Minnesota in one shot only stopping for fuel and a vacuum leak. All I had was my home built hitch and a home built cargo rack carrying my 12x20 (HUGE) tent. Once to the state line I had to stop for a bit of a nap... On the hood and windshield. Did I forget to mention the Mosquitoes... Yeouch! So yes I'm in the market to build an ultralight Tear for a warmed over Fiero to pull. But that's not for this thread.

Here's the Follow up "Land of 10,000 Stories by Boyd Huppert AND Jonathan Malét.

Enjoy it's a wonderful story and yes have a tissue handy too.

Just in case anyone is interested in his mother's point of view one year later.

Wow. I was up to speed to the time of Tyler's passing. It was a touching thing that Tyler's little sister said (in the linked story).

Thanks to Danilee's blog post (thanks, Stu!) we know more of this great story. That was difficult to read without getting all choked up.
