Kurt, I believe my Bose Soundock has an audio input if we can't locate near your camper.

Jim, that is always an option. It might be a good idea to try it at spring mill.

We could try it at 5:00am and play a little "Jimmy Hendrix" Star Spangled Banner for the campers.

I have it on CD also (played through the DVD player), so we could really get things rolling early. (or we could really irritate the peaceful campers)

I have another song that would be good but since this a "family" event we better not.

I'll play it for you but at LOW volume.
Jim

I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Thanks Scott
I need all the help I can get. Wife jumped all over me about not getting it done. Just to much going on with all this snow. I have been putting in a lot of hours at work and doing side jobs. Now I am working on clearing out peoples gutters. Fun stuff.
I got home tonight and the front gutter on my house was laying on the ground. I just had them done this summer. Guess I have to make another call tomorrow.

Oh, I did get site 74. Told you I need a keeper.

Yes, it could end tomorrow and I don't think too many would miss it. Where I work, we do all the walks and patios. It is a retirement complex. I have 135 units to keep cleaned off. On an average snow it takes 2 of us about 4 hours.
We have had the ground covered longer this year than any I can remember in a long time. Today we had freezing rain for awhile. They are saying March is going to be more of the same.
Making pretty good money at night driving a plow tho. Just need a break, to catch up on some sleep. :?

Kayaks and canoes are welcome to paddle on the small lake at Spring Mill.

It doesn't look like a "great" paddling area but if you decide to bring one, feel free.
The lake is restricted to electric motors (or less) so the water should be smooth.

There are a lot of sights to see and activities at the park so I'm not intending to bring my kayak unless we have several who want to take a paddle around the lake.

See map
Camping area is the east side of the map.

The lake is kinda small at Spring Mill but the East fork of White River is a short drive from the park. While it is A bit larger than most canoeing rivers There is public access with a ramp at Lawrencport which is close by. There are no liveries so it would be a bring your own yack or canoe outing. The area is known for very large catfish so bring your big pole!

http://www.whiteriveroutfittersonline.com/index.html

A quick look finds an outfitter in Shoals Which is a bit of a drive but not impossible for those really looking for their river fix. The short trip is 7 hours so it would be a day long endeavor.

If anyone is interested in a shorter trip arrangements could be made for a truck and trailer to drop us off at Tunnelton and canoe back to our vehicles at the Lawrencport access ramp.

Tim,
Thanks, We just got a new pup, so I thought it would be good to be out away from the main group. And I know Bob will not mind a growling barking dog!
Any way thanks again for your thoughtfulness!
