Experienced any problems from too soft springs?

Someone I know suggested getting using overly stiff springs in order to avoid trailer motion when you are moving around inside, sleeping, etc. This certainly runs contrary to how I was thinking about things, but I figured I would ask:

Has anyone run into problems with that sort of thing -- too much motion when the trailer is stationary due to soft springs?

P.S. I am aware that if I should see a teardrop trailer rockin', it is probably not best to knock on the door to inquire as to the cause of the problem...

I'd bet that most people put down stabilizers of some sort, if their planning on camping for more than a quick sleep. I always do. Doug

I use 3500# axle with 2000# springs. You don't want to stiff of a ride or your trailer will bounce all the way down the interstate. Like Doug said use stabilizers for your trailer when parked.

The someone you know may mean well, but is incorrect in the belief that vanity is more important than a trailer that will tow comfortably, and safely down the highway.

As the others have suggested, stabilizers will stop your campground neighbors from knowing just what you are doing inside... ;) unless you're really noisy

Good for you for asking!
