I would save the pickup box trailer for my firewood and lumber getter. The frame will be kinda heavy and replacing the heavy bulky rear end to lighten this trailer would be a major P.I.T.A. They set way to high for easy entry also.

I have 65 ford pickup trailer in the back yard and I never even concidered it as a candidate for a build.

The little black one is a bit more interesting. If it were mine I would move the axle as far back as possible and cantiliver the floor off of the actual frame a couple feet to the rear. If you were to build a well built torsion box floor it would support the cantiliver easily. Maybe a 2x4 on edge with 1/2 ply let in on both sides. What does the black one measure ??? Looks like 4 maybe 4 1/2 feet wide and 6' ? long. That would make a nice
little 4 or even a 5x8

Definitely the last one. That first one is to heavy, built wrong, not really conducive to a teardrop...
