Exercise Anyone?????????????

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

I agree four miles at four miles an hour is impressive for a fellow in his 80's, and then have to add I could not do that myself without a bad day following. Two ten minute stints with resistance between.
jeanne claims two ten min stints while I was at work, and did five while I was here. This is major progress for her

Trek does also make a Cruiser in the $300 range. could take those stupid bow shaped handlebars and replace them with a more appropriate shaped set.
Wonder if the shop would copnsider a stright swap for a better bend. Nah, probably not.

The shop I work at would switch out the bars.

I was referring to actual mountain bikes and not cruisers though...there are single speed rigid real mountain bikes available..

Most shops that I have dealt with over the years will do a swap for free (or at least a huge discount) when you buy a new bike from them. Just my experience and it never hurts to ask!!

Could not get on here yesterday, again, allong with two other sites I frequent. I may need to call mt ISP and ask WRF the problem is, since I pay extra for DSL and I have this problem more frequently of late

yesterday my usual twenty straight, don't remember Jeanne's number.

Tonight ten, twice, and resistance between and after, as usual.
Didn't get Jeanne's number, which she usualy tells me soon aftew I get home. Wasn't in a good mood, dond't know if she skipped, or was just walking on eggshells. (I am unpleasant when upset, although I always appologise, her ex was physicaly abusive, and I believe she's afraid of me when I'm moody, though I've never so much as bulged a muscle at her.)

I've seen some singlespeeds built on what looked like a beefed up roadbike frame, but not any MTB's like that, and the ones I saw were pricey.
I do remember a co worker having one by a big name company back in the early 90's, but don't remember which company. Anyway, since seeing a certain video someone sent me on another thread, I don't have a prob with gears anymore, just the suspension.
Am still researching 24" BMX, too.

My usual on non resistance days, twenty straight on the eliptical.
Jeanne only got one ten min ride in today, we did a bit of visiting and some errands out of town, and she was tired.
doesn't matter, as near as I can tell she never takes a day off, and she didn't get as out of condition as she is in a day, week, month or even a year, so reversing all that sedentary living will take some time.
I can't wai till she gets to where she enjoys exercise.
Can't wait till I get there either, for that matter.

My off day today, and Jeanne took it off too.

This wednesday, we are going to get her adult trike, which I guess means I'll have to get a bike, too.

Wish I was solid on what I want.
