I remember those insulated tumblers also. Also remember the milk man use to deliver to our house and we lived over 15 miles from the nearest town and it was a small town. I still have a different tumbler that came with cottage cheese. It is sort of a bakealite material. 3 ridges on the sides. Called, MaloWare, 27 tumbler. Made by P.R.Mallory Plastics in Chicago. Yes, I still have one. been using for a pencil holder for about 3 decades. And i think I still see one at my dad's house.

Wow, did this thread ever take a left turn.

That's OK Randy...I don't care that it took a left turn. One of the things that I want to incorporate into my builds are items, colors, designs that do bring back memories from others childhoods, as they do for me. I know I've achieved my goal when someone sees something and says "wow, remember that stuff" then tells me a story, or "what year is this trailer?". Maybe I live in a Leave it to Beaver world...I'm OK with that. While it may happen in the future, I don't believe too many people get warm "fuzzy" feelings about a battery fluorescent lantern, and by the way....where can I get grape Fizzies? Doug

I saw some fizzies at the 99 cent store not long ago. Didn't notice the flavor...

Doesn't seem like they make grape anymore...

I found a neat old drink ( non alcohol ) at the grocery store today. I plan on bringing some to the Glyphs campout. Along with the normal swill.

Thanks Cliff for the link....now I can get some fizzies AND candy cigarettes! Gawd! Candy cigs...Joe Camel has got nothing on them! Could you imagine any kids running around with them in their mouths nowadays? We used to... Everyone would flip out! I should get some so I can roll them up in my white T shirt sleeve. Doug

Thanks Randy....now I went to that portion....and I'm afraid that I'm going to get something to fill in a spot in the new build. Your cryptic note...woo hoo...is it Yoo hoo or some coke in classic shaped bottles? Doug

Way too much fun going on here... There's a set of the plastic tumblers at the family cabin as well. And I remember the milk man...let's not go there.
