New off road build

I don't yet know what the finished height will be but probably just under 5 feet.

No real progress lately.

I welded almost all of the seams and have a plan for the door weatherstripping.

It's a dexter axle from a local trailer shop.

Interior Finished height will be in the neighborhood of 47".

I did get some more work done on it and will have some time over the next several days as well.

intrested in this build. I want to build an all steel offroad TD too.

Pics probably don't do it justice but I'm happy with the fender design. 3/4" angle skinned in 18 ga.

I put some stainless 1/4-20 bolts through the sides and tacked them into place, and then drilled holes in the fender flanges....so the fenders will be removable.

Have a 14 ga. flange around all the doors now.

Also installed the hatch...needs a lid now.

Fender will also double as a shelf...temporary for cooking... and I may install a jerry can on one side as well.

I got the other fender built and a start on a hatch, but business is going good so I haven't had much if any time to work on it.

I sprayed it down with some WD-40 to help ward off the surface rust.

A good 3 days might have me ready for paint.

I have the holes drilled for all the handles and windows.

A 'once-over' and some prep work and I'll start gathering the paint supplies.

I'm not shooting for any particular weight. I'm not looking for an overweight pig either. I figure an adequately powered off-road vehicle will be the tow vehicle in this case.

Tongue weight was 130 today as it sits.

I will try to get an accurate weight when I'm done.
