Powderburn....on a piece of heavy equipment...they're called ROPS...might as well keep up the rugged theme....and they would be handy to haul home the days hunt, if you can throw it on the top!!!
looks good Powderburn....now all you have to do is to figure out how to make the wind stop blowing...spent 2 winters on drilling rigs in Wyo....Jeff City and near Casper...Doug
Seriously, do you think you need true roll bars (ROPS) or just some Equipment (tie down) racks. Thinking along the lines of a ROPS, your gonna be adding a lot of weight... reading this thread has convinced me that I'm gonna put some sort of "luggage rack" on mine. (when I have more than a pile of steel...) For the obvious multiple purpose reasons... I'm also thinking an old "pioneer" tool rack would be cool also... just a couple of thoughts...
I think the lugage rack is a good idea for a lot of the reasons given, it might even help storing it at home, you can throw a tarp over it and not worry about trapping water against the roof. Standing water is the worst.
hey guys,
i wuz thinkin of a rack on top of mine for 2reasons,1 to haul my kayak, and 2 to mount a h bar shaped rack to put a tarp on kinda like the big canopies w/bungee balls on the side, maybe droped down a littel in frt and back ,if you mounted it to frt of trl and back you could make a place to get outa the rain? any ideas on that???
