I wish i had bought the tongue jack from harborfreight now. I figured i'd get a real nice one at the time but the swing plate dosnt quite fit the tongue. I will be welding up a nice cross bar to mount it too i think in the future that way the jack is in the center anyhow.

how do you guys like your tongue jacks from harbor freight? holding up well.

Here's an option, if it's a swivel type jack, remove the C clip attaching the jack to the mounting plate, cut down the mounting plate to dress it up IE...get rid of the mounting holes and extra material, and weld it to the tongue. It does require a cross member to tie it into the other member for strength. You can get away with small sq. tube to stop any roll or twisting on the outer member. By doing this, you can cut out all the funky mounting hardware that "sandwiches" the mount with plates and dresses the front end up a bit. The jack used was a Fulton, but I'm sure that the HF is similar. Just an idea. Doug

The local trailer supply sells the weld on mounting plates seperate for a couple of bucks if you have one worn or damaged.
I need a new Avatar. I'd put my dog up there but she doesn't look much like me. She's the skinny one.
