A buddy of mine who does not drive recently moved from the outskirts of town into the apartments in town to be within walking distance of work, groceries, and all that jazz. So far he has been loving it, although he has been having problems getting groceries home, limited by how much he could carry on his person. I did some Googling on different types of trailers and settled on this. Extremely simple, made from cheap, readily available items (actually, the only thing I did not have on hand was the tote-$12)
My target was to keep it under 30 lbs. Imagine my excitement to find it weighed in at 15!
It has been suggested I make a few more and sell them. I would consider it if the demand proved to be there. The model I emulated sells for 350. That seems quite unreasonable. I think if I found a source of cheap wheels, I could sell them for 125 and make a comfortable amount. From the engineering phase till completion I have about 6 hours into it.
