We made it home at 2:00. I've completely unpacked the tear and put everything away.
I didn't take as many pics of teardrops this time.

Had a wonderful time as usual. Weather was a lot better than last year.
We definately had some winds but at least it didn't rain at all.

It was so nice to see all of our teardrop friends and met quite a few new friends. Hope to see the newbies at future gatherings.

We even had an unexpected guest and I'm sure someone will get their pics up of the guest before I do.

Hopefully Ill get build pics of the new teardrop uploaded as well as pics from Beavers Bend.

Hope everyone had a safe trip home

I left BB at noon Made it to Durant before 2:30
It was great to see everyone again. I look forward to next year.
I plan on camping a couple more nights before I get too far north.

To answer your question, yes, we do have trains in our campgrounds in Iowa. Main line railroads run along both sides of the Mississippi. The COE parks all have trains running very close. I guess that's why I didn't hear Danny most of the time. I'm used to it. :)

I got home around 5:00 PM. Had a wonderful time, good to see old friends and meet new ones. Thank you Linda for putting together another great gathering, and thanks to Gary and Trudy for Sat. morn breakfast. The potluck was outstanding, so much so, I didn't even want breakfast this AM.
Hope to see everyone soon.

A big thanks to everyone for letting two teardrop-less interlopers join the party. Linda, thank you, too, for putting this event together.

The weather was great although the dark clouds on Saturday afternoon made me wonder why I pitched our tent in a low spot.

Linda and I had a wonderful time, and met some really great folks.

Thanks again.

We left at 8AM, drove home, unpacked the tear and the truck, put away most of the stuff, hit the showers, and made it to church for 11AM service (OK, we tried to unobtrusively slip in at 11:05...). A terrific weekend, new friends as well as lots of old friends; terrific breakfast (thanks to Trudy, Cindy, and anyone else who helped); a great pot luck dinner; a train ride; and a great Friday night campfire. Jasper is missing all the attention he got this weekend! And Linda, it would never have happened without all your hard work. Thank you. :applause:

Let us know the date for next year once it is set.

Now I understand. Spending time on the forum is one thing, a "gathering" is something else altogether.
Since I wasn't camping I didn't stay long, but did meet some very nice people. Though the "high point" may have been helping Thomas put up his hammock. Too bad I didn't get a photo of the first try.
I expect to be there next year, and camping. Thanks for making me feel welcome.

Ok Guys breakfast will be at site 58 about 8:30. Just joking.
Yes were at Lake Bisteneau but it isn't much of a lake they've drained it again. But they do have WIFI now. It's not to fast but I'm on it now. We'll head north tomorrow.
Oh by the way thanks to Jim Worley and Larry our bacon man and Cindy for Pieye eggs and harvey for biscuits and all the rest for the help with breakfast. It's not just us doing it now and we really appreciate all the help that we get.

Thanks for Linda for another wonderful BB. It was so sad to leave on Saturday :( (work ya' know) but I checked the calendar and Palm Sunday is April 17 and Easter for 2011 is April 24 - so This means we'll be able to stay the entire weekend.

Well, I was the very last one to actually leave the park... two of the rangers caught me for a half hour look see & questions as I was pitching trash.
Good drive home , averaged 21 mpg which isn't too bad and my mind is made up ... too many ideas, at one stop to get a drink I had to pull out paper and jot more things down. haha

Happy camping this weekend, and hope you all have happy camping this spring and summer ! Don't know when I'll see ya next

It's all good.
