My cargo trailer conversion

I started converting a 18 ft cargo for a cross country trip this summer.
I am not very computer savy but my son started a Blog for me and I thought I would include the address so anyone can follow what I am doing and offer any advice they might have.

It looks great so far!! Your son did a nice job with the blog. What are your plans for a water heater and are you installing a furnace?

The water heater is a small on demand I got on ebay for 50 bucks new. I found the same one in Lowes for 200. I do not plan on heat at all. If it is that cold we will not be taking the bike whick means I can revert back to the 5th wheel we have and it has it all.
I will take a look at the instructions for posting pictures BUT I think I will more than likly just post to the blog and anyone who wants to follow can.

I was just looking at your blog and wanted to say your doing a great job. I like the tile on the counter top idea. Also, the Xantrex inverter was a excellent choice and it's nice to see you got one large enough that it doesn't have to run at near full capacity all the time. Do you have a link to the manufacturer of those ceiling panels? Also, any info on the water heater you used?

The celing panels are from Lowes. They are paneling designated for use in baths. About $ 11.99 per 4x8 sheet. One side is a gloss white finish and the other side is like a compressed cardboard compound.
The rivits were 6.00 per 50 in the same isle.

I really like your hot water tank. I was thinking of a small electric one like that myself. What kind did you use (name brand) and where did ya get it?

I got it off of ebay for about 85 bucks new. It is in Lowes for about 200.
Have not used this kind of thing before so I can not comment on it.

You might want to give it a test run. I'm pretty sure thats the same one my dad had in his catering trailer. He bought his at lowes so he paid the 200 bucks. He said it wasn't worth a crap.. It took a ton of power and just didnt' work very well. It was one of the reasons he sold his trailer and built a new one.. Maybe you will have better luck, But like I said I'd give it a try before you get to far into your build and are locked into using that style heater. My dads problem was once the trailer was all done the way things were laid out he couldnt just switch it with a Gas heater..

I wondered about those things. The only reason I went that route was because of a friend who swears they are the greatest things and save a lot of energy. Another 2 weeks and we will be taking it on a short trip camping just to do a test. Believe me I will be posting the good and the bad.
