No. Nevada and surrounds Teardroppers-question for ya

Postby nevadatear » Thu Apr 01, 2010 3:46 pm

Just trying to get an idea how many northern Nevada Teardroppers are on the forum (with or without current trailers). The ones I know of:

Us (Nevada Tear) Lovelock
Chukar-Daytonish
danlott-Winnemucca
DmcCam-Reno
Downundertech-Reno
Pam m-reno
Highdesert-reno
edlfrey-reno

and of course there are our close neighbors in no cal like
Doug Hodder-Sac area
Steve E-Sac area
Rocketgirl-Sac area
Grant Whipp-Redding
boomboomtalum-Yuba City
Redriver-Bay area
Mercy; Bay area
1912-Klamath Falls
CDF? (has a red colored tear); Chico
Prem-Medford area

there must be many more of you close to Reno?

wondering how many of us are in say a 300 mile radius from Reno/Carson area?

I was thinking of contacting Cabelas to see if they are interested in an event like they had recently in both AZ and LA showing off teardrops, dutch oven cooking and other camping stuff. Anyone interested if they are interested? Something like this: http://www.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?t=34310&highlight=cabelas

Maybe Idaho, UT and So. NV are interested too? Is it worth a contact?

Deb, here's a few more that come to mind at the moment;

Redriver; Bay area
Mercy; Bay area
1912; Klamath Falls
CDF? (has a red colored tear); Chico
Prem; Medford area

there is a member in the Quincy area but I'm blank on the name right now. I'm sure there is more in the Redding area too. 300 miles throws a pretty good loop, should prove to be an interesting list

There are several of us in Humboldt County CA. Dean, Kevin, Eunice, Betty Ann, myself and a couple of others. Eureka is about 350 miles from Reno.

I'd be interested in a Cabelas gathering as long as there is sufficient advance notice. Course I'd have to pay a visit to Scheels as well.

I am always amazed how certain thing like teardrops will flourish in certain areas.
Must be nice having advice on your doorstep, like Reno.
Greetings from England.

Rian.

Hoping to get it all done in time.

Redding, CA. :)

I think our areas have a lot of TD/TTT campers because such beautiful camping areas surround us.

I think it is just like chickenpox ....... Exposure

Seriously the Hoosier Chapter of the Tearjerkers is a strong and active bunch. We try and promote our hobby. We have been in parades and even got a spot of fame on television. We are always good ambassadors to curious fellow campers. It seems the more that attend the gatherings the more we cultivate into hard core tearjerkers. Cargo conversion , standies , slouchies , small rv's whether home built or factory models all are welcome. We have invited many tent campers to join us (they make easy converts) and feel welcome at our gatherings. I have personally infected ( oops I mean inspired ) 4 new builders. We try and invite newbie forum members in our area to join us on pot luck dinner night and come for the day and visit with us to get many new ideas for their own future build. All this takes the effort of a good chapter director and co director ( thanks Kurt & Scott) and the efforts of all of the members to promote this little hobby. We continue to grow in numers each year and the gatherings just get better and better as the numbers increase. These "pocket" happen thru the efforts of the good folks like you. There is no great mystery to the success it is just good promoters and their hard work. :applause:
