Bonnie Scotland

Been to Scotland numerous times. I started going to support the 'Chip' Fabs [Integrated Circuit Factories] in 'Silicon Glen' between Glascow and Edinburgh [Ed-din-burrrrrrrah]. From there, we booked places farther and farther out in small villages and loved all of it.

One very memorable trip was in what we here in the U.S. would call a 'Class C' Motorhome rented out of Greenock by Glascow. How much fun it was to dry camp whenever we wanted, with unbelievable views as we pulled up to 'dry pitches' [no Utility connections] with the large RV window facing the Atlantic Ocean. Stunning. Superb beachcombing, since there's nothing to the west, save Canada.

I don't recall seeing any TD-sized Trailers, but U.K. folks sure do love getting out and about in mid-sized Trailers. 'Continental' folks, especially from N.W. Europe and Germany, would ride the Ferries over in their VW Vanagons and Tents [for the younger set]. Some sort of tarp or awning off the back of any TD would be a must, due to the sputtering mist or rain that occurs more often than not.

Once our Solar House in W. CO is completed and a CT conversion is underway, we look forward to another trip back.

Like you I think the double glazed windows you see fitted to caravans & campers would be pretty much essential in these parts. I found this link to a co selling new ones. Not cheap, but seems a shame to spoil the look of a newly built job with a cruddy old window. Here's the link:

Happy planning - and let's hope this crazy craze spreads across Scotland & England! ;)

And even in Russia, in cold Siberia!

Way North of Mongolia on the Ostrov river, (looked it up).
My thinking is that introducing teardrops in areas they are not will lead others to building them.

If you drank a lot of whiskey and his wife will not let him go home, you can go to sleep in Teardrop.
