Spring Mill State Park 2010 -- Hoosier Chapter Gathering

Camping in the Midwest, including Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin & Kentucky. Also includes Buckeye, Hoosier and BlueGrass Tearjerker chapters

Postby Kurt (Indiana) » Mon Apr 05, 2010 7:57 pm

The Spring gathering is almost here and I'm really getting ready to get out and camp.

At past gatherings we have never had trophies or any real "recognition "awards, but this year's event will have an "Awards ceremony". It will be a little different and I think you'll all enjoy it.

Details will be explained at the gathering.

Thanks to Bob Henry for planting the seed for the idea. :applause:

Pat, Jennifer, and the T@B are in!! We reserved site 85, even though it wasn't one of the suggested sites. It's close to everyone and has full shade. We reserved for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Can't wait!!

:applause: Great we'll see you there, As far as suggested site I should probably erase them I think everyone can figure out the general area we're in. You're right there with us. Our circle of campers just keeps growing.
"31" and sill 41 days left to go. who knows how high we'll go.

Just wanna give everyone that wants a banner a chance to get one and save a little on shipping. I'll be placing an order from Todd middle of next week so they'll be back in time for me to pass them out at Spring Mill. Banners are $12 + $1 for shipping If you'd like one send me a PM or Email and we'll work out the details. They can have chapter Logos or just the plain Tearjerker Logo and your names etc under that.

 One of my favorites I must say.

No matter what people bring I'm sure it will be good, our pitch ins just seem to get better and better

I'm so ready to go camping, got the camper back in the garage so I can do a few things to it before I hit the road.
At least this year I won't have any major work to do the day before such as in the past

Scott, you're on top of it this year, congratulations! About the only thing I have ready to go is the toilet. I better get started with some camping plans. My "suprise in a bowl" probably shouldn't be a suprise to me and it REALLY shouldn't have anything to do with the toilet!

Booked

Postby shortgmanp » Tue Apr 13, 2010 7:47 pm

I have reserved site 65. Can't not wait to experience my first gathering. Give me a few days and I will talk to the wife about food for the pot luck. Any ideas let me know. Greg P
I am a workaholic that loves a good challenge. It will also give my dad and me a good project to work on together. I plan on putting several miles on this teardrop, so I want to build it right.

Glad to here you got booked Ok, I'll get you added to the map, I think you'll really enjoy your first gathering and this is shaping up to be a big one
As for food for the pitch in wouldn't worry to much about it this group tends to eat just about anything and everything.
And I mean that in the nicest way

This brings us to 32 and still 37 days to go. Don't want to miss out on this one, if your on the fence cause you don't have a tear finished or started feel free to grab a tent or what ever and join us.

Just looked at last May's map and 32 ties it  still some that were on that map that I don't see this year :(

Greg :

Here is a good dutch oven cook book. You can print it off and organize it in a 3 ring binder and toss it in the galley for reference.

I gained 3 pounds just looking thru it

Chuck, I'm so glad you are coming regardless of whether your teardrop is finished.
You should be prepared to ask any questions that come to mind and please do. We love to show off what we've done to our trailers and you can pick up many ideas that you might want to build in to yours.

Plan on staying for the "Pitch-in" dinner on Saturday (if you come Saturday) and plan on attending the Friday night "Wine and Cheese". Both are a great way to get to know the group and I think you'll enjoy it.

Please enjoy our hospitality for the Friday or Saturday events and welcome to the "Hoosier Chapter". :applause:
