A Better Picture!!!!!

Postby eamarquardt » Fri Apr 09, 2010 3:48 pm

I'm offended that some yahoo made all of those Guardsmen stand in the hot sun to get a picture that was never used for the bond drive it was intended for. "According to a July 3, 1986, story in the Fort Dodge Messenger, many men fainted-they were dressed in woolen uniforms-as the temperature neared 105 degrees Farenheit."

Apparently not to be outdone, some USMC yahoo had the same idea:

I always thought those in uniform had better things to do! I, for one, would have rather gone on liberty than stand around for a photographer!

Cheers,

Gus

That's okay. We all know that true geniuses such as yourself, sir, have a touch of the a-d-d.

:dancing

If I have offeneded anyone by this little joke at one of my favorite regional pen pals of the T&TTT, then I am offended.

As for the artwork in the original photographs, I think it representative of a different era in America... and I think it terrific artwork, no matter who had to stand around for it.

:D

It is the mission of photographers, like me, to make lives miserable. 8)

I never made anyone stand in the heat in wool uniforms, though ----- not yet.

ADD

I have NEVER been diagnosed with ADD. OCC, Munchausen's syndrome, Tourette's syndrome YES, but these were later refuted by more knowledgeable doctors (2 complete psych evals available upon pm request with email address!).

ADD is simply a way of recognizing an excellent ability to MULTITASK!

I like it when someone calls me SIR! A number of good Marines have done so and it feels nice to hear it again! LCpl Marquardt, USMCR (#2 son, currently at Camp Pendleton on manuvers) cannot bring himself to address me, his superior father and officer, as SIR!

Nothing you can say will offend me! I've been to "hell on earth" and survived!

I allow no one to make me more miserable (I'm miserable enough already),even CD!

Now let's bicker/tussle!

Cheers,

Gus
