Teardrop Hitch Covers

Postby cherokeegeorge » Sat Nov 26, 2005 10:13 pm

Hey Guys,

A while back I was thinking about hitch covers for us teardrop or soon to be teardrop owners. What do we do with that empty receiver when we're not towing our trailers? How do we let each other know we're teardroppers out on the open highway? I couldn't find any hitch covers that were specifically for us, so I decided to take matters into my own hands (literally) and I design and built one myself.

I showed it to Craig and Cary at Camp-inn when I picked up my trailer; they really liked it and gave me a lot of positive feedback (thanks guys).

So now I'm ready to show them to you.

Well, what do you think? If anyone is interested I've set up a website and I'm always open to feedback from you guys.

George....those look really slick!!! you did a good job on them...I'd like to get one...but most of the time on the truck I'm always moving a trailer so always leave the hitch in it so I have something to bang my shins on....but I'd go for one on the Rambler...got a cost? Doug

B.G.,

I'm not sure what a class 2 receiver is. Maybe you could explain to me.
Thanks.

Doug,

Thanks. The cost is $49.50 plus S&H. There is a lot more info on my website about cost and ordering. I think they look pretty slick also, but then, I am partial. I appreciate your feedback!

George: Class 2 would be a 1-1/4" reciever. You've got it covered...

Say George, you going to Morro Bay or Sweetwater. Maybe you could bring some. I'm getting ready to rehitch both the truck and wagon, but the wagon will be hidden. So I just may want one for the truck. For right now I have other priorities for that price. Just wondering. They sure look good, well done.

Have a good day.

George,

All Right! Glad to see you got the website up. Good looking tear on the top too. I like the colors you added. I'll be bugging Craig to start selling these things for you. Having the website and a price nailed down makes it easy now.

To all,

George is right, these are of a super high quality. The kind of thing you will pass on to the grandkids along with your teardrop.

Sorry Gage. 2:38 am is very late for those fo us who are not retired. It's good to know you'll always be watching for someone screw up and call them on it.

Have a good day.
