Netflix for Wii

Postby asianflava » Tue Apr 20, 2010 10:42 am

Got the Netflix disc for my Wii over the weekend. It is pretty convienient when nothing is on TV (which is often).

You put the disc in the Wii and if you have wireless internet, it will access Netflix's movies and stream them to your TV. You just use the Wii controllers to make your selection.

The picture is smooth and lag free, but the colors are a bit saturated. It is also not an HD picture.

We got ours last week but when we were updating something went wrong and it didn't work...my wife called Wii and they said to send in our console (they paid) and they will replace it......even though we told them it was two years old......
That's customer service....

Thanks, I just sent for my free disc. Hopefully it won't wreck my Wii like it did yours, Philip. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

my disc for the wii worked fine. Streams better over the wii than it does my pc. My wii is updated to 4.3 I think.

Good to hear that Nintendo takes care of their customers.

Our Wii is about 2 years old also. We don't really use it that often as it has been unplugged for about the last year.

When I tried to run the Netflix disc, it had to do an update first. After the update, the netflix logo appeared on the menu and it was ready to go.
