Jimminy crickets!!! With all that mileage and through the rain and all...a fella might think the ladybug is begining to wear out!!! Maybe you ought to consider getting started on a new trailer!!!! I think Mike might have some new designs .....
The Lady Bug now has a new tow vehicle – a 2006 Jeep commander. I finally got around to installing a hitch It gives us more room for seating and gear. It’s almost as wide as the camper itself, so no extension mirrors are needed. Finally, it tows like a dream
The Ladybug now has an awning ! It measures 6ft X 6ft Plenty of room for relaxing in chairs and providing shade for the table. Its made of sunbrella outdoor red and white stripe. Thanks to Doug H. inspiration helped me to solve a droopy center with the fiberglass rods. Actually they are fiberglass reflecting rods and some plumbing pipe that I used to get the same effect. The support poles are 1 electrical conduit. The whole unit slides in a an awing channel and pretty much supports itself. I wanted the cabana look with the horizontal and vertical stripes.
Well folks - the day has come that the Ladybug has NEW OWNERS!
Congrats to Lyman and Donna who now own the ladybug. She still has her colors but now resides in Mississippi - so if you see her along the way someplace - just wave - they'll appreciate it
I am glad you didn't dismantle a perfectly good, and perfectly cool camper! that is great that you were able to give it a new home, and get some dough to build the Green Lantern!
