Hi,

I don't have one, but if you know the name, there is a good chance there is a troubleshooting guide and or help forum available for free on the internet.

I don't have a motorized chair but I do have a mobility scooter. I had that problem with my scooter once. What I found was the contact points on the switch for 'Free Wheel and Drive Wheel' were dirty and wouldn't let it go to drive. As far as telling the motor. Once cleaned it worked just fine. Did that make sense?

thank you, guys. i also have a mobility scooter. works for getting around down town so i don't waste the battery in the chair. i love it. anyway, husband took it apart and there are some wires that aren't plugged in. just laying there. no place to plug them into though. maybe extras? he's out now trying to find a friend of his that is an electrician. maybe he can figure something out. thanks.

I took the wife's motorized wheel chair to a wheel chair sales joint. They were more than helpful in deciding on weather my problem was the charger or if I needed new batteries. I bought the new batteries, and it works just fine. I'm gonna hang onto it, since in about 30 years or so, I may need it for my own use.........we'll see.

we think we found the problem. husband thinks it was in the control. all the wires inside the chair were fine. the battery was fine, too. we are in a small town 150 miles away from the closest big town, and there is not a wheelchair store here. we do have a hospice, though, and they let us use another one. thanks for your replies.
