9 sq foot house

Postby steve smoot » Thu Apr 29, 2010 8:25 am

Has anyone seen the 9 square foot house on wheels. I guess this qualifies as a tiny travel trailer...it only has 9 sq feet of floor space, but it has a bathroom with a shower and ceiling height to stand up and a sleeping loft for a 6' person.

A bit hard to pace back and forth when you want to? More like marching in place...

Interesting. Thanks for sharing that. :applause:
 Aerodynamically, I think the roof design might be better if it were down in the front and up in the middle and back down in the back, sort of like some of our teardrops. That might also give him more room in the loft area...don't know for certain. However, that would be more difficult to develop and build.

I like his Mini Cabin design... it too is on a very small single-axle trailer...

It makes think of a public restroom on wheels. I don't find it appealing at all.

Taking the tiny house to the extreme was bound to happen. I do believe the reason many tiny houses are built on trailers is to circumvent many zoning laws regarding home minimum sizes. Still I would have to agree with the above post that this design would be like living in a bathroom.

Looking forward, I expect someday to see a community of tiny houses. Complete with communal gardening, recycling and a gathering place.

;) Don't tell the hippies.......

Looks like pulling a bill board down the road. What happens when a couple of trucks pass it wrong.

Had a weird experience on the highway today. Seems a truck (18 wheeler) passed me and pulled in a bit close. A second closed on the passing lane and cause the trailer and my truck to really get squirrelly. It was like being caught and pulled in two different directions. Can't imagine being taller and having that happen.
