Hello from Missouri

A big howdy to you all!

This is a very nice site. I have poked around a little and have found some very nice tears!

My wife and I are retired and talked about camping some. We are not exactly crazy about tent camping, but it is not out of the question. Hence we are looking at building a small trailer for camping.

Being retired we are long on time and short on funds, so not looking for a big trailer. Twenty-five year ago we had a 40 ft 5th wheel we traveled in all over the country. For me smaller would be much better. LOL!

I have a utility trailer and thought I might build something that I could put into the trailer and take off for a few days then return and remove it to have a utility trailer again.

Now my wife is 80 year old and I figure it won't have to last much longer than 10 years or so. Don't think we need anything fancy. Just a soft bed to get into at night.

Any thoughts you might have would be appreciated.

Best regards,
Jerry

Howdy back at'cha Jerry and welcome to the forum. If you are looking for ideas for your trailer come visit us this weekend at Tablerock Lake. Should be around a dozen trailers to look at. Here is a link to the information on where we will be.

Best way there is to get ideas is to look and ask questions. Visitors are always welcome at gatherings.

Thanks for the invite. I'd sure like to go, just not sure we can make it.

QueenieJeannie: I love mural on the side of your rig. If I figure out how to find pics of your trailer I'd love to see it a tad bit larger (old eyes LOL!).

I sure hope the weather cooperates for your get together this weekend.

Best regards,
Jerry

Welcome to the forum. There are a couple of people who have built the removable cabin like you mentioned. Poke around and have fun.
