TD Show is Sunny SA

Postby SATEAR » Sun Apr 25, 2010 12:39 pm

Hey guys, how about a TD show in Sunny SA. I spoke with my neighborhood association about having a TD show while we work on my TD and they say we can use their parking area (holds about 250-350 vehicles) for a TD show and we can work on my TD at the same time. I'll have more details later.

How does that sound? We would need a few TD's to come down and display their babies for the weekend!

Think about it!

 Gonna be hard to show TD's and work too, unless you are working in the parking lot. Might schedule around that.....

I'm not sure about the show part. but I'd still be interested in helping with your build. Look at the 2010 gathering schedule, and see if you can fit something into that.

If your HOA will let us camp out, and you have decent grilling skills, a few of us may be able to roll that way.

For me, the decision comes down to whether or not I'm working that weekend, and whether or not I can afford the gas for that drive -- business is good, and then slow, so I'm pinching pennys in a big way.

Another Saturday and working on the TD!

Postby SATEAR » Sat May 01, 2010 5:44 pm

Here is where I am so far......not to much done but slow but sure!

Roof is finally in place and ready for a waterproof covering and then the alumunium----what should I use between the wood roof and aluminum to keep the roof from rotting out????
Image

Here we are ready for a galley! Not sure if I should just put in a couple of shelves across and leave it that that??? Any recommendations?????
Image

Put in a few lines of waterproof caulking and now ready to paint the interior and then add a linoleum floor with black and white blocks!

Sorry to hijack the thread...
If any of the Dallas area folks want a day trip, I could use a hand raising the barn over here in north Garland.

I need to mount my cab onto the trailer. It is currently sitting on 2x6 platform.

We can make smores on the BBQ, but I am not sure about a camp out :D

Hey Wes, Did anything go down Sat? Sorry I was out of pocket recovering from being sick. I just messed around in the garage on my drawer.

On another note, if you keep heading up 78 Just North of Wylie, there is a house on the right with two Teardrops. One aluminum one with no axle, and another under a covered parking spot that is bright yellow. Anyone here?

Yep, the barn was raised! I got it mounted and secured on the trailer frame. Check out my build thread, it is lonely and needs attention. :R
Hope you are feeling better.

Hey all ... I've been SO out of pocket with working two jobs, and motivation is lacking but funds are good , and the spring showers are finally subsiding. I 've thought about the SCT Barn raising idea and if it would be doable here in OKC .... hmmm

on another note, talked to a guy on the singles line here and swapped messages, and he said "I want to hear more about the camper you built, I actually have a manufactured one but want to hear about yours... "

OMG could it be --- a teardropper singles line??? haha

Common interests! I think you are about the same distance as San Antonio from me here in Dallas, both of which are a long haul at 12mpg though.

Wes, I still need to swing by after work sometime, I am always trying to squeeze things in after work before the sun goes down, but it has talked about too long!

Anytime you want Thomas, just let me know. You should have my number and address in a PM somewhere.

It is not much to look at right now. It is in an akward stage with unsanded fiberglass all over it. I need to sand it down, I just am not looking forward to it...
