I'll give the Division 24 location a call here Monday and see what they charge and where all I can purchase some to see if any is in any major distributors. Looks like a neat alt for roof and bottom of the tear!!

An RV supplier in Sevierville, TN called AdventureRV.net has it for about $40 a gallon or less. We are going to be in that area in a couple of weeks so I will be checking this place out. It seems to have a good selection of the parts i need for our build. Check them out online. :)

what is the area coverage on a gallon of this stuff.
what would stop you from using it for the entire exterior of your camper?

From what I have read, the coverage is about 200 sq. ft. per gallon.

According to the Elixir Industries website, it remains flexible enough to expand and contract with the wood. It's supposed to be very durable.

Well in light of the recent developments, maybe truck bed liner will be scratched for my build and I will go with this new stuff

I can always get a small bit of bed liner to do the floor of my camper with inside still.

has anyone seen if this plast t kote stuff can be sprayed, I have access to a hydrolic sprayer

So how does this product compare to Kool Seal or the product at this website?

http://www.polycoatings.com/rvroof.html

I emailed the company asking about suitability and got this quick response:

Thank you for your inquiry and your interest in our products. Has the sealer already been applied? I say this because our Safe-T-Prime EPDM Roof Primer will seal and prime the wood and would have to be applied over the sealer anyway to facilitate the adhesion of the 519 coating. (the 519 is designed for rv and trailer use, because of its ability to flex continually in all temperatures without breaking)

We have had a number of customers who have built their own trailers using plywood and successfully coated them with our system. The one procedure that we recommend is to apply our Tape-Kote Seam Tape over any seams in the wood before applying the coating.

If you can supply me with measurements, I will give you a quotation for everything including shipping cost to your door.

Best regards,

Tony Douglas

Guess I'll have to break it to him that I haven't started yet. :(
Gonna pick up the trailer this Saturday. :)
Wonder if it can work as an undercoat as well.

Wow, that's what you would call good customer service right there.

well alot has happened this past week!
I am now sponsored by Herculiner for my off grid camper build!
I have a bunch of white herculiner enroute for the outside of the camper and grey for the floor inside.
it sounds like they are sending me enough maybe to do the entire outside and inside walls of my camper! heh

It will never leak and look like its built like a tank im very excited!

truck bed liner is looking to be a great exterior coating for camper builds, tuff durable and nice looking. check out progress at http://www.offgridrving.com
