Mezmo, I agree Carter has done a wonderful job and he has provided me with a very nice CAD plan for my tear drop chassis, it i s greatly appreciated and a great reflection on the people that frequent the forum.
The Australian slang is a wonderful thing, words that have no reason for being can be used in a conversation and mean something......don't ask me how it works but it does..........beauty.
Now as for Schmicko, it can also be substituted for the following words.
Rippa, Beauty, Bonza (but this is old school and not used much now days), corka (also old school). Noice (nice, bit of a play on the pronunciation). Pearla (reference to the value of a pearl I guess).
So basically it means "very good indeed"
Also thanks for your comments on my first project, I am very proud of it , and most people I have met think its pretty "orright" (all right), this is something usually discussed around the bush television (camp fire) while "knocking the top off a few frothies" (Beers) at the end of the day.
Colac, South West Victoria, South East Australia.
Some Aussie slang
Cans, frothies, stubbies or a pot if you are in a pub (club/bar/ale house)= beer..........Plonk = wine..........BBQ shapes = small savory biscuit to be eaten with stubbies or plonk
