Dear Madjack--Really appreciate your getting back in touch with the forum. I was worried and am so glad you're back! I feel like I know you because of being an avid searcher on old threads and really appreciated the many postings you did that were so helpful and useful.

MJ we have all been so worried about you. We know you have a rough road ahead of you but you can do it. Not so sure I could. I had just pm to Mike to see if he knew whether you were ill, thank goodness you are not. Looking forward to seeing you and Poor Girl at the party. Sure been missing you.

Granddaughter

Postby doitright » Tue May 04, 2010 10:30 pm

Man been there and am doing it now. My wife's grandson came to live with us at 3 mo. some 15 years ago. I would not have had it any other way I know where he is and what he is doing all the time. I shutter to think where or who he would be if I would have objected to him. To tell the truth I think it has helped me more than him. God bless you and yours. I :applause: you and your wife it is hard but very rewarding.

Welcome Back

Postby mezmo » Wed May 05, 2010 12:19 am

Hi MJ,

I'm one of the newbies who've joined about or after the start of
your hiatus, but have seen and appreciated all your input over
the various threads.

Being a GrandParent now, as your are doing, is the greatest gift
your granddaughter can ever receive. The being a "friend" thing
can wait until she's an adult and can realize the truth about
everything and then value the friendship.

By the way, the psyhcologist (I think that's the correct type)
John Rosemond has several books in paperback about old-
fashioned parenting - the old common sense things that were
followed before all the 'Dr.Spock et.al.' era came on the scene.
They may be helpful if you're in need of any resources like that.

Again, welcome back - and Teardropping is good therapy for
everyone!

Bon Temps Roulet

Postby Alfred » Fri May 07, 2010 2:38 am

HEY MJ - Bon temps roulet!

Man-oh-man it is great to see you back on this list! We've missed you. I've missed your feedback (been making some progress) and I'm looking forward to some more feedback from ya'

That is a wonderful thing you are doing for the Grandkid and the family, yet more proof there is a spirituality and wisdom beneath that crazy madness of Mad Jack!

Hey MJ - Someday, when the 'Weekender for 5' (or whatever we name it) is finished - Maybe we can come to a gatherin' in Cajun country, brew us up some chicory coffee and camp beignets, make us up some dutch-oven gumbo.

Good to have you back!

AL in Asheville

So, I'm reading thru the posts today and I see a reply from MJ. Hey wait just a minute, what's the date on that post? I've been tricked a few times while reading old threads. May 7, 2010. I blink twice, thinking I've misread it. Nope. He's back!!

My hat's off to you, buddy. A big warm welcome back!! :applause:
