Hopefully, six months isn't too much of a delay to post a pic! Here's a photo of the...casserole...with the metal handles. It's deeper than a fry pan but I think less deep than a chicken fryer wouldbe.

It did turn out to be preseasoned, and is very handy, since it can go in the oven or on top of the stove.

can ya stick a magnet to that pot? Sure looks like aluminum to me. Preseasoned cast iron should be black.

Must be the light. It's very very dark black, dark as my other cast iron and the same weight. It is absolutely iron. Maybe this pic will show it better:

Guess I should have taken the shot outside. I've been cooking in cast iron for years. It's iron.

Nah, still looks like unseasoned Iron to me and it also looks to be made over seas or in Europe.
