Hey M, It's not exactly a teardrop, but it's got plenty of room inside for sleeping. I just have to move out when I'm cooking.

You must have a cool girlfriend. I have a cool wife but that's much better than the socks I got for my birthday last year. How will it tow behind a teardrop?

I need a new Avatar. I'd put my dog up there but she doesn't look much like me. She's the skinny one.

I'm sure there is some way you can fashion a hitch on the back of your teardrop to pull that thing.

That could happen Cliff. The girlfriend is a big fan of the GA. state park system, and we get up to Cloudland a couple times a year. We're gonna do a BBQ contest at Fort Yargo May 21 and 22. If you just happen to be in the Winder area.

Great Rodney we just may stop by over there. Where at Yargo is it going to be? On the weekend of July 15 the GA Tearjerkers and Al, and Tn and I think one other is having a tear gathering up at Cloudland Canyon that you might want to come to also!

I'm not sure where they are putting us in the park, but Yargo isn't that big.
Also don't know what time they're gonna do turn-in's, but I suspect it will be about noon and the whole thing will be over by 4:00 or 5:00 on Saturday. We plan on setting up around noon Friday, and will be there from then till it's over.
Hope you can make it. We'll make sure you don't leave hungry.

NEW SMOKER UPDATE

Postby Slayer » Mon May 24, 2010 6:49 am

Well we did our first contest with the new smoker last weekend.

4th place in pulled pork.
5th place in ribs.

Sounds good at first glance, but there were only ten teams

BBQ or Decompression chamber?

Postby eamarquardt » Mon May 24, 2010 6:53 am

I'm not sure if it is a BBQ or a Decompression chamber. Are those white thingys on the side thermometers or tpressur gauges? If it is a decompression chamger, I'd lose the propane tank and get a SCUBA bottle. Breathing propane is good for only a short (and terminal) high! I think I like your girlfriend! She sounds like a "keeper".

Cheers,

Gus

Sounds like the story of the two teams that played only each other once a year. The losing team "consoled" the winners with a newspaper clip that stated that the winning team had only won one game all season and wished them better luck next season. Things are not always as they appear. But, I'm open for "free samples" of your 4th place pulled pork and 5th place ribs any time you happen to be in So. Cal. which, after seeing Maryland, Pennsylvania, and a brief glimpse of Delaware last week, seems more of a desert to me than ever. The weather, however, is "poi-fect" as Larry Joe used to say and the occasional earthquake serves to keep on on his/her toes.

Cheers,

Gus
