Finaly. I no longer feel alone. Just a little info for ya. T/As were only built for 1 year 1989 The company went into recievership in 1990. Home port was Wanachie Wa. I am curently Trying to track down the owner of the company through the secritary of state in Wa.

Ok maybe you can help me out. I have tryed for a year to get any info from washington state regarding:Teardrop American Inc..Not much help from them I must say. I know ( buisness was active in 1989 and 1990 but was gone by the end of 1990. I know it was headquarterd in Wenatchee Wa. Thats it Other than some people call the unit an Outback. I haven't varifyed this is the correct name though. (Outback). We may try to bring this unit back into production on a limited scale using fibreglass rather than A B S . While I don't believe it is imparitive that I talk to the origanal owners of the co. it could prove informative. As well as fare to them. Any help from this comunity would be greatly appreciated..... It is not a camper, but should give you some good ideas for a product like this.

I played with the idea of getting a rotomold made for design like yours and having the shells rotomolded out of polyethylene.

Well, I do know for sure that this a 1989 vintage. The maufacturer was "Teardrop American Inc." 380 E. Penny Road, Wenatchee, WA. The whole camper weighs in at about 400 lbs. and is 9.5'(l)x7.5'(w)x5'(h). Two adults would fit comfortably but I think it could manage myself and my two kids (ages 6 & 4). I'm really planning on using it for solo trips... my wife doesn't know that part yet!

In 03 are 04 there was a set of molds for this in vancouver BC by burnaby for sale and have seen them on e bay in the last 2 years. There was a set down byI5 and hyw14 just on the side of the road they be trash by now There been a few that have pull molds but it seam to never sell well. I might sell my molds very few will pay the price for a glass one.that last over 50 years. How can you beat less than $45.oo for a wood side wall ?

When I say limited production, I mean it . I will be marketing them as offroad expedition units. There are very fuew options in that market that don't consist of a rolling tent.....In my exp. wood framed or should I say conventional designs don't hold up as well..... Boxcar...
