From reading the EPA info heat will bring the odor out of the wood, if I read it correctly it causes the formaldehyde to gas off, maybe putting a small electric heater inside along with cracking a window open will ease the problem.

Funny about the heat thing. I did put the Mr Buddy heater in there for a bit, thinking along those lines. I'll do it again. Couldn't hurt.

Sorry about my layman terminology. Formahl, moth ball, chemical, hospital, yucky sucky . It's all the same crap to me.

I usually end up doing (Good) things twice. The first is for the learning curve.
The second time is for keeps.

The heat is on. The inside it totally open since it's a cargo hauler. Propped the rear hatch an inch or so for air draw. Side door cracked just a tad.
New 1# bottle. Gonna let'er cook. 9k BTU, IIRC.
Water hose is on and close. I put a smoke detector cantilevered from the roof. I'll keep checking every quarter hour or until i smell smoke.
All is well.

If you really really need to seal something use Kilz original primer sealer. It will seal pet urine oder in carpet tack strip.
