Hey guys thanks for nice words I'm still going to try and get something done while these heal? Like making the templates for the cabinets and like thomas said and work on my wiring schematics. Everyone is on my a$$ to go the emergancy room but that's just going to cost $$$$$$ for nothing,in my experience nothing can be done for broken ribs.
I'll post some pics of my injuries when my wife gets over being mad at me. my motto is if you don't hurt yourself doing a project then your'e doing it right/wrong? i can't remember.

I broke a few ribs in the military wile on ops, and like you say, there is nothing one can do, just grit teeth and get on with stuff.

Yeah, you go tot he hospital for something you know they can't do anything about, and you catch the flu there...

So your gonna let a lil broken rib get in the way.......seriously a small internal puncture can really cause a bad infection.....I do pray you are going to heal and be well enough to finish this thing. It is looking great btw!

You're right, i've been doing alot of teeth gritting especially at night where there's no comfortable position to lay in. but i am making some progress on the build and expect to have more pics up later today or tomorrow.

I'm probably just like most on here, a couple of displaced bones aint gonna stop me from campin in my tear.!!! it's just slowed me waaaaay down and after i could breath again i kinda knew it was'nt punctured (thank god).
I've read alot about the shedding of blood is a sign of a good builder, so what's some broken bones a sign of? CARELESS that's what!!!!

Well ladies and gentlemen my ribs are feeling better and I'm back on the build again. In the following pictures you might notice that the little camper looks a bit different and you would be correct, I had to start from scratch since the other build was left outside one night in a massive down pour
The good side? It held water!!!! so i know it would have been pretty waterproof!!! so for the last 11 days i've busted my ( golf ) balls building another one and have had some good progress i think. OK no more talk and on to a few pics.

Here is a shot of the galley area, it's 58" wide x 30-1/2" deep.

Here are a couple of shots of the front cabinets, The 3 doors at the bottom are hinged at the bottom so the mattress doesn't interfere with opening them. the upper doors have 1/4" plexiglass in them i didn't want real glass for the reason i think everyone knows? and the 2 shelves on each side are for drinks, cellphones etc...
I didn't take a pic of them but above the shelves on the inside walls are 2 12-volt outlets located at the top for charging cellphones or plugging in laptops etc..


The holes at the top of the cabinets are for the a/c, I ran pvc underneath the cabinets and up the sides to the vents and they have black mesh behind them. The pvc piping goes out at the bottom left of the camper and will connect to a petcool unit later on.

This is a pic of the back interior cabinets, each side is 22" wide x 16" deep and the center section is for the 15" lcd t.v. which will be mounted the the door and recessed to be flush with the finished frame.
Behind the t.v. is where i'm going to put the a/c-d/c power unit i purchased from frank bear along with lights, doors latches etc....
I'll alos be building a drawer that is the width of the inside about 5" deep.


These are pics of the power unit, it has 10 slots for d/c fuses and is capable of having 45 amps put thru it. NICE!!!!!!! and looks fairly simple to wire also.

Once I found the right breakers, the thing works great. The breakers aren't special, but they weren't easy to find around dallas,tx. Ace hardware were the only folks that carried them and it would seem there are only a few ace hd stores left around here.

I'm sure some other types would have worked, the guy I got mine from said the type to use and that's what I got.

I didn't get as much done this weekend as i would have liked, spent more time drying off than working on the TD
I got the rest of the roofing spars mounted and the interoir roof in AND the rest of the headliner ( not at all easy with only 2 hands ) i tried to snap a pic or 2 but they were just too dark to see anything, i'll try again with better lights sooooon

This is my power/converter unit installed, it will hidden by the upper galley cabinets and vented both inside and out underneath the cabinet.


I got this idea from Dan Sutton and it's my a/c hookup. / WOOO HOOO!!!!

And here is a side shot of my new profile, this time i didn't curve the bottom front like the first one and i'll be building a tongue box to fit in front.
Well that's all for now i'm going to get the interir lights mounted tonight and then go take my THIRD shower for today.

Hey everyone, Sorry i haven't been posting any pics of my build lately but i haven't been doing much on it the past few weeks.
Why you ask ? I've been trying to find the rite water tank to put in the galley behind the cabinets and decided last weekend to just scrap the tank idea and just have a water connection. I did get the upper and base cabinets nade and installed over the weekend and got the insulation in the roof also !!!!! WOO-HOO!!!!!
I'll get some pics posted tonight after work.
Also thought of a name for my bouncing new little td, tell me what you think of it.
