Thank you for making a difference in your grand daughter's life. No telling what you have saved her from. There's going to be a seat very near the front in Heaven for you. We're all proud of you for doing the right thing as opposed to the easy thing.

I was out of town visiting friends and family last week. When I got home I checked fro new posts and was overwhelmed. I only looked at a couple, but found that you had replied to some. I must have missed this one last night or I would have welcomed you back earlier.

As a matter of fact, one of our friends that we visited, is adopting her neice's son due to similar circumstances. It's too bad that it happens, at least there is family.

Good luck! and Welcome Back!

Welcome back MJ and Poor Girl.
I too have done my time raising family members. I had my sister's oldest son for 4 years before he went off to college and the youngest for 3 before he went back to live with her (would have been better off staying, but with Donna's health decline we couldn't handle the extra duties)
Glad to see you have returned and wish you and Marlene all the luck and patience in raising a teen in this crazy world. :?

Yeah, maybe now all those earthquakes, volcanos, tornadoes and oil-well explosions will stop.

Good to have you back, although the speculation over where you went was interesting. We had you anywhere from the Cordon Blue, to an archeology dig in Ethiopia, to maximum security at "The Farm."

I'm sorry it didn't turn out to be the Cordon Blue, but glad it wasn't "The Farm."
