There's no burn ban in Randall County at this time.

We'll be on the road by 5:30 am. We've got tarps, firewood and a back-up.

Spinnernut, you oughta come on up & help us find that train.

See y'all later.

So, do I bring my grill and jinx us, or leave it at home so we don't get banned?

Maybe I should bring the grill, and wash my car. That way the gods won't know what to do -- wet the ground with rain to dirty my car, or keep it dry to invoke a burn ban (but leaving my car clean).

Talk about your existential conundrum.

10:15AM - No way we'll make it there today. Lenny has just gotten out of the shower, and as soon as he gets dressed, we're out of here. BTW - Jasper has been in the truck since about 8AM; he's not about to get left behind!

See you Friday.

I left Dallas around 3:00, and I'm parking it for the night in Childress. So, I am only about 3 hours away in the morning. I expect I'll be there by lunchtime.

Well, I smoked/grilled my catfish this evening just to be on the safe side.

I have the tear hitched and pulled around to the front of the yard. Not sure what time I'll leave... My plan right now is to leave when I first wake up which is usually around 3:30 to 4 am. I usually don't get sleepy again until around 5:45, so we'll see though.

Everyone have a safe trip!

Well, like clockwork, I woke up a little after 4 and packed the cooler, straighten up some things around the house, got sleepy, and went back to bed. I needed the rest.

It's 10:47am and I'm heading out.

See ya'll there!

The radar showed that it was raining over there all day just like here, looks like they might have had a really nice day today though!

Yep...rained everyday. :(

But a good time was still had...despite mosquitoes, rain, wind, and a wonky new computer system for the park that had everybody confused.

I'll get my pics together later...right now it won't be long before I'm in a nice, warm, dry bed.

It is now my main mission in life to finish my teardrop.

anyone wanna buy a tent?

Many thanks to Ed for a nice gathering in the face of many obstacles!
 :applause: :applause:
