Good score on that lantern.

Ok, confessional time. I am setting here with my 220 burning. Fired her up about 1/2 hour ago.

Hey, did you have a gas light up at the Dam Gathering?

Nice one Paul! At the price of C-fuel, that means the lantern was about $4 lol.

What year is it? My guess is '64, maaaybe early '65. Vent looks mint in the pic.

one ding in the vent.. :-(
the only number I see on the bottom other than the 200a is an 8..
think it needs to come apart tho, its pulsing. It pumps up and runs tho, thats a good thing. I could have had the lantern, a 425 e stove and the fuel for $20 but am holding out for a 3 burner..or one of these days I will find the round fuel tank for my 413 at mom and dads...I know its there but WHERE???? lololol

I seeketh and findeth no pantaloons, yet I find strange foreign fuel burning lantern object. I failed to buyeth, for the owner of the shiny lamp was very proud. It was most beautiful coming from the land of germany. Aida express it sayeth upon the tank. 30 pieces of gold the damsel wanted. it was a beautiful and old object. But this knight had just dropped his old fiddle bow off at the luthier shop for a rehair and some straightening/restoration. 90 pieces of gold for the bow repair sayeth the fair luthier with the golden hair. My fair maiden weteth upon her leg when she heardeth the price. but now this poor fiddlers bow will be worth 200 gold pieces so no money for fancy german lamp... :(

alas, for the want of a lantern, the kingdom was lost....

but fear not fair fiddler knight, I have aquired other items of green for thee to feast thine eyes upon, and other trinkets for but little gold...

keep thy eyes open for a fresh thread to appear by the morrow, so as to not further the hijack of the Knight of Focused upon Teardrops fair thread... ;)

how did we start talking like this lolol????

i took my 200 apart tonite, just to stay out of the brides hair and to be out in the shop so i could keep and eye on that bonfire.. got the tank cleaned out, sanded up, primed and painted. all the brass is apart and taking an overnight bath in the vinegar. not much else to do to this one. I did buy one of those permanently mounted striker lighters. nice to have one set up for easy lighting. Was suprised. I put my old cap on my new dual fuel lantern and it held pressure and worked good there so no new cap needed, hopefully just a good loving cleanup is all it takes!
there was some rust on the bottom edge of the tank like it sat on concrete for awhile, that all cleaned up. the date showed up while i was sanding too, its an august 1964...the 64 was really light and didnt show thru the original paint.

Rofl... sorry about the budget constraints, but that was some funny stuff right there.
