What type lawnmower do you Have?

I HATE cutting grass. I'll do anything else around the house. But I don't cut grass. Hate it. Hate cutting grass. Ain't gonna do it. I hate cutting grass.

at my house I'm that Guy We have 3/4 acre lot and it's alot with a push mower,

I've got a big 23hp V-twin Sears garden tractor, had it for 10 years now. I had to put a new battery in it a few years ago but other than that it runs like a champ.

I get all kinds of funny looks when I cut the grass because I have this big tractor and a pip-squeak yard. I guess it never occured to them that I had the mower before I owned the yard. It takes about 6 passes to cut the yard.

The John Deere that I have is rated for a 5 acre yard, I have a little less than half an acre here in Kerrville. It doesn't take me long to mow either But I still have the little tractor for sweeping up the leaves, spreading seed/fertilizer/insecticides/herbicides, moving the trailers, and even moving horse manure to the garden as in the picture above....

Sometimes I'll just grab a beer, jump on the little tractor and putt around the back yard just a drinkin' and a drivin'.

I was running out of room when I moved so I donated my plug aerator to the neighborhood. I had this aerator that I'd use twice a year, my neighbors would borrow it to do their yards. In that neighborhood we all had .5-.75 acre lots so everybody had their own riding mower. It kinda became the community aerator, which is fine because at least it was getting used instead of rotting away in my shed.

I have several. I have a Gravely 2 wheeled walk behind tractor. I have a 30" bush hog attachment and a finish mower attachment [I forget it's size]

I have Cub Cadet riding tractor.. that was my father in-law's. I have also have a Kubota B7500 tractor.. I have a rear mount finish mower and a bush hog for that..[as well as other attachments] I also have a commercial Toro Zero turn mowers. 52" I think.

We got the gravely when we first built the house. I bought it with the 30" bush hog. The bush hog was sort of in between.. It cut grass better than bigger bush hogs.. but would cut heavier "stuff" than a mower. As the long expanded. I opted for the bigger finish mower attachment. I also purchased a trailer for it, a sulky so I did not have to walk. and also had a rototiller and other attachments to it.

We later bought the Kubota At first I was looking to mow the lawn.. and plow the driveway with it. I had a big finish mower for it... later the bush hog and other implements were added. With a few trees on the lawn.. and more added. the size because a real issue.. on the lawn. The bushhog was used to expand the lawn.. and to do trail work. I know have miles of trails I keep mowed.

When my father in-law passed, I took over mowing my mother in-laws place.. we did get the cub cadet.. my wife was started using that. I was looking for some way to get all the mowing we do, faster, and my boss suggested a zero turn. I found a new left over commercial mower that I got a good price on. The commercial unit is more heavy duty.. so it will not get beat up on my rough lawn. It does a much better job of mowing... although as has been said.. I do get some wheel spin at times... when it is wet and I am mowing aggressively.

I've got 2- JD LX-188's, 1-48" JD walk behind, 2- Lawnboy 21", JD F932 Front Mount mower and a mess load of attachments. I do make my living with them.

I have a cordless B&D. I have gone totally battery-operated for all my garden tools because it is supposed to be better for the environment plus I don't like having gas tools around...worries me. Add to that, I've found that gas mowers are messy to maintain and repair. I've already rebuilt the 7 year old B&D once and, 2 weeks ago, it broke again. So, I bought a push reel mower. It's a bit of an effort but at least I have a clean back-up now while I'm waiting for parts.

I have gone corded electic myself. Don't like keeping gas cans around and once I actually tried a corded mower I prefer them. Light and easy to manuever. Do have to be carfull about the cord but that's it. They are much lighter than cordless electrics.

I just remembered, I have a picture of my mower on my Facebook page. This is after I put the snow plow on it. I would have gotton the snow blower but it cost 3X more than the plow. I really need to get chains because I almost got stuck when the snow was wet and slushy.

I have an ancient Toro that I bought used. Starts and runs great.

My small engine shop says this is one of the best Toro ever made and that we can keep it running as long as I like!

And I like.
