I HATE cutting grass. I'll do anything else around the house. But I don't cut grass. Hate it. Hate cutting grass. Ain't gonna do it. I hate cutting grass.

at my house I'm that Guy  We have 3/4 acre lot and it's alot with a push mower,

I feel your pain. At one time I had 1.11 acre and a $100 (new) Murray 19" push mower. My acre had ruts and depressions all over, and the handle was too short, so I made a sort of harness and pulled it like a plow.

I have three mowers...Pablo, Juan and Jorge...Economical to operate, maintenance free. Best of all they don't take up any space in the garage.

Looks good Rocky, I like equipment and enjoy seat time on my little lawn tractor but that plow is one piece of equipment that I am glad that I do not need. Well, I could probably use it to push those huge piles of leaves around that the pecan trees drop in the fall........

I have a 21" self propelled from sears... I've decided that I do not have to mow all the lawn at one time... I do about 1/4 of it over 4 nice days.. much less tiring.. and I really don't care what the neighbors think.... as I only have one neighbor, and he doesn't care..

So, each time I cut is only about 20 minutes..

We have a self propelled Troy Built. The wife keeps adding more grass, so I bought a Cub Cadet tractor last May. It's a whole lot more fun and faster.

I ask the wife to go with me to get the mower, made it seem that it was her choice if we got it...let her back it off the trailer and mow the grass with it... 8)

I've got a '79 Wheel Horse with a 50" deck I built when the original rotted out. My MIL bought it in about '88 and I wound up with it when she died. Had it here for 12 years....starts every spring so I think I'll keep it. After 20+ years I'm kinda attached to it anyways.....

I used to have an old pull start mower with a completely rusted out body that my dad gave to me. The body was crap, but man this thing ran like a tank with one pull after sitting all summer! After a couple of years it disintegrated completely and I bought a used one and a brand new one that wouldn't start one single time, so I bought an electric one for $20 on craigslist that just needed a mounting plate welded to the blade.

I like Chevy engines, but I hate things with little engines like chainsaws, Lawn mowers and weed eaters, I will go electric every time even though the power is less.

Of course I don't really have a back yard and my front year is not bad, takes me 30min.

My front yard is only 50 x 25. My back yard... well I am hauling in rock so I never have to mow it again.

My dream is not this suburban hell being over run. My dream is a lawn that does not exist, a lawn that does not need to be mowed because I live in the forest!

You guys are hard core; I just have a plastic, electric Black & Decker mower.

It's great for flinging dogpoo into the neighbour's yard.

Well, the carb rebuild wasn't successful. I was looking at a couple hundred bucks for a new carb for my Wisconsin Robin engine on my Snapper, so I decided to take the plunge on a new mower that would be better suited to my very small yard. I bought the snapper when I had a big yard.

I got a Toro e-Cycler 36-Volt cordless electric mower, and so far, I love it. It's quiet, and pretty much maintenance free. It's so easy, I will probably mow more often. Every five days is recommended for healthy Bermudagrass.

It has a mulching blade, so I won't use the bag, making it even quicker and easier to mow my yard.

Mulching is the way to go, that's for sure. But I end up pulling the sweeper around a couple of times a year so a good portion of the mulch eventually ends up in the vegetable garden. A large portion of the mulch is made up of pecan leaves in the fall.

Frankenmower. It used to be a Husqvarna. As things broke, they got replaced with heavier components.

Deck from an old Snapper Hydro, bigger tires filled with water instead of air, brush guard, lighter port for the MP3 player... Another year and this thing will have nitrous.
