how to install a potty and a shower?

Anything to do with mechanical, construction etc

Mike,
(and others) -- there are some folks over at www.popupexplorer.com who have (in the "That Ain't Stock" and "Fix My Popup" forums) who have discussed and done this sort of installation. Look for tips from Everybodyhauls and Oz and Us in particular.

Yes, I read there. My beloved decided we needed to go the Popup route.
I've camped in it once now and like it a lot -- so much better than a tent -- but he and I both are still thinking we'd like to have a teardrop. But for now, I'm taking advantage of the chance to camp in the popup, 'cause it gets us out oftener than the tent did.

Laredo nothing wrong with that!! We have both, a 2009 Palomino pop up and the lil tear. We got it last year and used it over 100 days last year while I was working at Ft benning. We even did some of the mods we had seen on explorer forum. We got the tear so I could have something smaller and easier to set up to take down there this year once the work picks back up down at the base. We really like both but eventually we do want a standy. Enjoy either and just go camping I say !!

I have found on some unique RV parts that going to your local RV dealer and providing them with an item name and part number, they can get that stuff for you. Granted, you will pay normal RV prices for it, but if you can't resource it anywhere else, that's the best way to go.

You can sometimes also eliminate shipping on items that are expensive to ship individually, but if it comes in their mass shipment from the supplier, they will often waive the shipping charges.

Mike...

Hi a new guy here responding to an old post because it is of interest to me. I have found this source for a shower pan/toilet. It is not a contained unit as in the photo shown in this thread but it is a pan made to accept a seperate toilet.

Love the forum by the way!

On this general subject I was wondering, if people are usually emptying their gray and black water tanks both in the campground septic, then could one simply use one large tank to hold both?
