Utah trip #2

Postby goramsey » Sat May 22, 2010 4:57 pm

This is my second trip out and about with my new Teardrop. I drove over the mountain and up Hwy. 89 and headed to Red Canyon, UT. Very close to Bryce Canyon. Wonderful drive. Tows just fine. Hardly know it is there. Going up the mountain was my concern initially. Not to worry, the Jeep towed it just fine.

Welcome to the Teardrop world. Looks like a nice camping trip.

I watched a few of your videos. I will travel Highway 12 one of these days. Have hit a few sections of it through the years.

Thanks, Yes, Hwy 12 is a real experience. I love it. I forgot to mention that the top of the mountain that I shot the photos overlooking Zion is 10,000 ft. That is why I was sweating it a bit. That mountain is right in back of my house. All I do is hook up, drive three blocks and start heading up the mountain road. I am looking at driving 50 miles north on I-15 to Beaver. I have heard that there is some great camping east of Beaver, UT. in Fishlake National Forrest.

Great photos, the trailer sure looks fine.

Yours wasn't the only Tear on Route 89 this week. This one was too and will be for some time, probably a little farther south than you at the moment.
