:applause:  Really pretty! Heikki I think your glue will protect against mosture but if you ever try to get the headliner off it will be easier if the wood were sealed first. Also if something gets spilled on it (it does happen)

Well this evening I did get the inner ply sealed with the special sealer that protects it from moisture and mold. Also that glue will stick to it. I tested it after a bit. Good results.

I just couldnt leave it alone.

Its almost like Auntie M was looking over my shoulder :D :D And saying seal it boy seal it. So it b dunn. :shake hands:

PLus I found some nice Mahogany Decor strip to install on top of the Headliner to the width of the tear. It will add a little to the looks of it. ;)

Hey there Heikke,

I just finished reading your thread and looking at your headliner. I just bought some for my rebuild from the menards store close to me, it's really just a 6' x 9' rug but it's made out of the same material as some of the headliners are and only cost me 16.99 ( Nice and soft too )
On my first build i used the 3M spray addhesive with the green label and it worked great, after spraying the ceiling and rolling on the outdoor carpet it stuck instantly so that's the way i'll go on this one also.
and i have to say it again i think you have a nice looking tear with the dark red and polished sides.
And are those front windows out of a vw? because they work well with the body profile.

Hi Chuck

Thank You for stoppin in on the thread to say hello and thanks also for the kind words. Im finally beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

The windows I drew up and cut out with simple plexi I think is the word or equivalent. Then just rubber window mouldings. Nothing real fancy but hopefully will last and hold for awhile. ;) I got the idea from the nice folks at Camp Inn for the windows. The door frame kits are from there also.
I just love the look. Thus making it an only tear in our country looking somthing like a Camp Inn but still unique here. :) :)

I cant wait to get the headliner started shortly. :D I,ll be certain to let you see photos of it. ;)
