Floor and Wall Design Question

Hey Guys/Gals

I am just finishing up my trailer frame and am about to begin building the floor, and cutting my wall profiles.

On floor, if I am not planning on installing insulation, can I simply attach 3/4" ply directly to my frame? Is there a structural reason to have a frame of 1x2s under your floor? The pop camper I dissassembled for my frame was built this way.

The walls would be framed out of 1x2s with 1/8" ply on both sides. These would then sit directly on top of 3/4" ply floor.

Below is a pick of what I was thinking. What do you think?

Here is a pic of my trailer frame. It's 12' x 6'. Walls will be 5' ~ 6' high.

J, I use 1/2 ply...only... for the floor, I do lay a piece of blue foam insulation on the floor, under the mattress......

The only reason to have 1x2s or 2x2s under the plywood floor is to give you an easy way to attach the sidewalls to the floor.

Of course if you choose a different way to attach the sidewalls, then you wouldn't need the subfloor.

I used 3/4 ply for the walls and used 1x1/16th AL angle(with gorilla glue and screws) as a cleat to attach floor/walls together...I used self-tapping trailer decking screws to attach everything to the trailer frame................

Make sur its good 1/2" though. That 3 ply they have at HD well...

I found some nice 7 ply 1/2" for about $3.00 more a sheet.

Would you still recommend a 1/2" floor if it was going to get stood on? My wife and kids will be standing in it for sure if I make it between 5 and 6 feet tall.

...NO, if you are going for standy height, go with 3/4 ply...RE: dh's advice about quality ply is spot on...I buy all my ply thru a cabinet shop and I am able to get birch veneer/poplar core 11ply 3/4 and 9 ply 1/2.........................

I'm looking at a 4x8 Benroy profile on a HF trailer. Is 3/4 wall and 1/2 floor the best way to go for this size? I haven't seen many with thinner walls. I'll be using spruce 1x2 for framing.
