Let me be the first to say `I SAW THE ROSWELL COMETH  `

, and what a spectacular build, a credit to Dans building, and Andrews design :applause:

This will probably sound a bit crude, but it was F***ing Awsome

Sorry to to post before - too busy catching up after being away.

It was great to meet folks at the Coventry meeting and here is the only photo of the Roswell I took - but is just happens to be a view Dan hasn't posted:

And, yes folks, Dan's Roswell is even more amazing 'in the flesh' than it looks in photos - a real work of art.

My kids loved the roswell at stiff upper lip 2010 they had great fun using it as a wall of mirrors
Boys never grow in to men the toys just get more expensive and more dangerous

How true :)

Dan,

That is amazing work.

You and that other UK fellow (Jackdaw) should engage in some friendly one-upsmanship on future projects. That would definitly rasie an already high bar.

We're lucky to have been camping together a couple of times in the past

It's always a bit of a eye catcher as we leave the campsite.... This was taken at last years Coventry meet.

Image

This was the secret camp site meet in September

Image

We should be getting together again for the first weekend in July 8) 8) I'm hoping to have three of my trailers all attending.......still not as impressive as the Roswell.....but they are finished

This was Dan disappearing into the distance on the motorway....

Image

Dan wish Vic' a happy birthday from us..... :) :) Looking forward to July mate

Hi dandan,

Good to see/hear you're back in the flow of TD building again,
or are starting back in on the Roswell's finishing touches.

You've got a cutie-pie on your hands there! She'll be supervising
you with no problems soon.

It'll be interesting to follow your progress as you fit out the interior.
I'm sure it'll be as imaginative as the Roswell is in itself.

Cheers,
Norm/mezmo

oh brother, here we go again!

Postby dandan » Thu Jun 23, 2011 5:31 pm

Hello again.
I hope everyone is well. :)
Please accept my apologies for my lack of forum activity.
Loads going on recently, i'm sure you understand.

So, in the words of Tom Lerher, "Oh Brother, Here we go Again".

3 hours on it today.

Finally got my finger out & put the insulation in.
Image

If you haven't come across this stuff before, its like bubble-wrap with
bakeing foil on both sides.
Have lined my house attic with it & shoved a load behind the radiators.
It works well.
Just my jammy luck, ive got about 4' on the roll to spare out of 125' when new !!!
(now if i had try to work it all out, etc.............)

Anyway, ive dot+dabbed it to the inner surface of the Roswell.
Its lapped so as any internal condensation which may form will fall away
from the inner timber cladding which will be added over the next few days.

Image
As you can see, i have put on a little weight since the last time you saw me.

Intend to fit the floor tomorrow & hope to start on the inner side cladding.
gonna post lots of piccies.
as always, you'r comments & advice are welcome & apprecited.
best rgds dan. :D
