Why not pressure treated for floor subframe?

I've yet to see a build thread with people using pressure treated lumber for the subframe of their floors on their teardrops. Why is that?

Is it a cost thing? Is it a chemical thing? Or do people just assume that because they are covering it in CPES or undercoating that it'll be fine?

Im just curious. Is there some other reason? The subframe wouldnt be inside the sleeping quarters so I cant see fumes being an issue. Am I wrong in thinking that any extra protection from water on the bottom of the trailer is a good thing? Can pressure treated lumber be treated with CPES after for even more protection?

I used pressure treated 3/4" plywood for my floor (no insulation).

My floor is treated been camping in it 4 years with no troubles. I didn't coat the underside with anything either.

There is really no good reason not to use pressure treated (PT) ply and 2x material for the flooring. With today's PT available to homeowners, you really need to pay attention to the screws you will be using. The newer PT does not have arsenic in it like the older stuff did, but it does have copper which can corrode the screws. You may end up using stainless steel screws for the floor.

you have to use appropriate fasteners and adhesives with PT wood.. it tends to be soaking wet and poor quality timber too.. you had better buy it well ahead of time, buy extra, and let it dry out well before using it., you want extra because it tends to go crooked as a hockey stick when it dries and you won't want to build the foundation of your trailer with warped wood..
