Northern tool 5x8 no floor trailer $259.99

Postby Basicfish » Mon Jun 14, 2010 10:07 pm

the northern tool store here in Houston, has a 2000 lb cap, 5x8 trailer with no floor, on sale for $259.00 till June 26. it looks like a much better than the HF trailer and a good start on a tear.
I do not know if it is a national sale.

It may not be national but it is on sale in the Marietta GA store ad too. This is the same as the TSC except for being a foot wider and at $259 one heck of a deal.

Got one too!

Postby Txbum » Tue Jun 15, 2010 11:41 am

Hello everyone, we were visiting Big DE and Brandy in Manville Tx this past weekend and went to Nortern Tool, and at first I just bought some fenders. saw the trailer from a distance and thought 4 x 8 not bad. Well got to Big DE's house and read the ad circular and realized it was a 5x8!!! Heck, I asked my wife and Brandy if they would go buy it for me. Two unhappy ladies later called and said they were lost and the store was closed. They lied! I told Big DE bet ya they just saying that. Now I have a 4x8 HF a 5x8 NT trailer and an old 1984 pre-HF trailer at home. Oh what to do?... rick... aka...TxBum

In Fayetteville, NC anyway. In my zeal to purchase the trailer I failed to notice that the fenders, tail light hangers and 4 angle brackets are welded on to the outside of the frame. Cuttin' torch time I guess. Still a good deal for $259.99. I'm going to upgrade the wheels to something a bit more substantial though.

That's easy. Convert your 4x8 into a wood hauler. It'd be great for the many runs you'll need to make to one of the big box stores for wood.

Build on your 5x8. Sell the old 1984 4x8.

Just got back from buying a shackle kit from Northern and saw the same trailer on sale. If I wasn't already knee deep into the frame build already..... :(
