Get Away Week at the Summer Cottage - Finland

Postby Classic Finn » Sun Jun 20, 2010 3:16 pm

We just got back home from the summer cottage where we stayed for almost a week. Just to get away from it all. Nice time was had.
We finished up with the new roofing and did some painting on the outer walls and raked up the yard. So it was work but relaxing indeed. Sauna was warmed up and we went swimming. Boys caught a few small fish from the dock. :)

Here are just a few pics for you to enjoy.

Sounds fun!!! Is that a place to canoe in the background? Marcia and I have a remote State cabin reserved for next weekend, and a remote Forest Service cabin in July. It makes for a fairly inexpensive mini-getaway.

I can only imagine how uplifting it must be spending a week there.

Doing nothing or fishing..... just looks like heaven.

Wish there was that sort of thing here.

In South Africa we used to hire a family members house on the river, about 1km from the sea.... that was awesome and so invigorating.
Greetings from England.

Rian.

Hoping to get it all done in time.
