Hmm, I brough this up a while back, and everybody discreditied it

Disadvantages: While it is true that they make torsion axles for larger capacities, we do not recommend them for the following reasons:
First, the loading of the torsion axle to the frame is more complex and localized on the frame. This adds stress (a lot) over simple the leaf springs described above.
Ignorant doesn't know any better, Stupid knows better but does it anyway.

Their comments about torsion axles display a profound misunterstanding of structures. And their 'good' gusset is a textbook example of how not to add a bracket on a tube structure - it's probably weaker than without the bracket, because the bracket will induce cracking.

So how do you tell the good info from the BS?

How about a few engineering classes!!! Rule number one -- don't believe anything you read or hear from the person selling it to you! :thumbdown:
