Linda,

I'm picking up my son in Denver and he will be using a tent and staying with us. I'll pay for him when I see you. We should be getting there on Wed. the 30th and will stay acrossed the road one nite.

The Cloudcroft gathering is official. July 1 - 4, 2010

I have reserved and paid for the Lower Fir and Upper Fir Campgrounds for Thursday July 1st through Sunday July 4th, 2010.

We have room for about 40 reservations. This is a combination of Trailers and Tents.

I have divided the cost of reserving the campgrounds and the reservation fees charged by recreation.gov by 40 reservations (tent or trailer) and this comes to $15 per reservation. This cost could change slightly if we have less than 40 reservations.

When mailing me your fee please let me know if you will be in a tent or trailer and how many people will be in your party.

I will keep the list of those attending on the first page of this thread.
Names will be put on the list as reservation fees are received.

If you have any questions please send me a pm.

Please mail your reservation fee of $15 to:

Sorry Jim, I forgot to add Carol's name.

Looks like our group is growing a little at the last minute which is great.

We don't mind the tents at all....bring them on.....

I've got the back of the truck all packed and everything piled up in the living room for the teardrop. Will pack it first thing in the morning and I should be good to relax the rest of the weekend.

Charles has something to do to the teardrop but he has 4 days to get it done. it's kind of a neat addition and can't wait to see how it turns out.

Mandy, sorry you can't make it this year. We will miss you.

Back of the truck is packed and locked. Teardrop is packed. All that is left is packing the ice chest and hooking up and heading out Wednesday morning.

Praying that everyone has a safe trip on their way to Cloudcroft New Mexico.

Hey Woody, We have 2 propane bottles and 2 mr. Heaters this trip so if ya get chilly Charles won't have to share his. LOL.

We have added something new to the Cedar Teardrop and it is so nice. Can't wait to show it off....

See everyone Thursday.

Reminder: Gate code is 1926. Gate will be closed and locked. Please close and lock it after going through.

my cell is 936-635-2596 and Charles' is 936-635-8898

I have been watching the weather as well. It is not unusual to have showers off and on in the mountains. Last year we drove through a 30 minute down pour coming back from Ruidoso and it was dry at the campground.

See ya Friday

The P/U is loaded & 'hitched' to the TD which has been ready for a couple of days, 'cept for the cold stuff which goes in tomorrow morning. Plan is to get away from home around 7am (y'all know the old saying "Best laid plans..." so I ain't all that optimistic  ). Anyhoo, we're gonna stop & have a short visit with friend in SE OK then on to Wichita Mts NWR for the night. Tuesday we've a long drive SW across Texas to Guadalupe Mts NP. Plan to spend Wednesday there & at Carlsbad Caverns then on to Cloudcroft Thursday. See y'all there  8) . We're both 'chompin at th bit' to get on the road again.

Do people still get up early enough to leave at 7:00am? :o I'm also all packed up (except for the cold stuff) and ready to go. We're going to leave around 11:00am (pacific time) and spend a night in Phoenix, AZ with one of my daughters. Then on to Bisbee, AZ and the Shady Dell Trailer Park. We'll be coming into Cloudcroft Thursday afternoon. Save me a spot close to the Pit-T. ;)

I'm still wondering about the 9000 feet. Got to have something to think about.
