Alma and I took the pontoon boat camping for a week on Shenango River Lake in Northwestern Pennsylvania. Counting various kids and grandkids, we had a total of 12 campers on two connected campsites.
Alma likes to camp primitive style. No fancy 55 foot RV for us. Instead we do old style, rustic, tent camping. Here are a few pictures of us putting up our new tent.

I may have to turn in my Man Card, but yes, that is me reading the directions.

Josh is 6'4" tall so that gives you some perspective of the size of this thing.

Done, and it took less than a day. Yahoo
Only Alma and I sleep in the tent. Therefore we decided on this small 10’ by 22’ three room condo tent from Cabela’s. This way we have a separate room for the porti potti, shower and laundry; another for the bedroom with a queen sized air mattress and air conditioner; and finally a large room in the middle to hold educational meetings for the entire campground. The center meeting room also housed our laptop with DVD player, MP3 player, XM radio, digital camera and various cell phones. No TV. I told you this was primitive camping.
I can’t wait until the teardrop is done. I’m just about to the point that I’m ready to hire a circus tent crew to erect this monstrosity. The tear will allow us more time to camp and less time sentenced to 60 minutes of hard labor.
Actually the tent has been a very good investment. When we’re not camping, I lease it out to the Pittsburgh Steelers as an indoor training facility.
We also set up a canopy in case of rain. It provided protection for our propane stove, propane grill, propane lanterns, propane crock pot and propane bug zappers. Oops, I almost forgot our propane heater for those super cold 70 degree evenings. The only thing we’re missing now is the propane hot tub.
While the weather was not great we did get in a couple of great days on the boat. We got a new tube, a two person Great Big Mabel. It can be towed from two different positions. Here is a picture of Alma gently easing me around a 360 degree turn from the chariot position. Half way around I got bored with the whole thing and decided to take a nice relaxing swim. What you see here is the very beginning of a 30 foot “back surfingâ€
