Beautiful chassis Chris, I'm more than a little jealous. Somehow I knew you would do something different. You've been planning it a while, nice to see it get started

I need a new Avatar. I'd put my dog up there but she doesn't look much like me. She's the skinny one.

I think it looks great! Have you had a chance to weigh it yet?

Update:

The rest of the chassis has been welded by a different person; a friend of mine who has welded many, thinner-wall 2 X 2 tubing structures for dynamic motor racing simulators...

Thanks, men!

I need to take a scale to the where the frame is; might be able to do that today... then get a rolling weight again w/ suspension, wheels, tires and trailer lighting attached before any teardrop cabin or it's systems are added...

I lugged it around yesterday, trying to get it over to an hydraulic press in order to straighten two little kinks in the rear subframe... but it was an excercise at best. I could fit it all where I needed to and then had nothing to restrain the tongue. I'm gonna need some oxy/acetyl...

Just the frame - no wiring, no suspension, no body mount tabs... and with a coat of paint: 78 lbs.

It's all 14 ga; 2 X 2 and 1 X 2, plus the 1/4-inch-thick 6" X 9" steel mounting plates for the torsion half axles.
