Greetings !!!

I've been going to Stellafane every year for a long time and I've tent camped pretty much every year.

It's just a few days each year.

A friend of mine has a German made (I think) trailer which I've always liked.

Last year through a series of unfortunate events I ended up taking the camper. Ok, it wasn't a camper. It was a Prius. I slept in it.
Worked out just fine.

I've been looking at TearDrop campers for several years now and I'm finally getting serious. Funding will of course determine the outcome.

I'd probably pull it with my '97 Subaru Outback (it doesn't have a hitch) or perhaps my wife's newer outback (it has a hitch). I'll consider the Prius but only a little bit.

I'm thinking of a 5 or 6 foot wide although I'm a bit up for grabs on this as my wife has a lot to say about it.

I did have a VW microbus in the seventies and a pop up trailer we pulled with a 1.1L Opel Kadette (AT) back in Illinois about 1976 or so.
Also had a Dodge van back then also (we added a bed).

gee, I did more than I thought !!!

Hello, Larry, and welcome!

If finances are an issue (and they always are), the wider you go, the more it is going to cost. Mine is 5 ft wide and nearly 5 ft tall, and I figure it cost double what a 4ft wide would have. In hindsight, the height is probably not necessary, but does provide more storage. I can only imagine that 6ft wide will have similar cost considerations.
God Bless

Cliff

Cliff,

You are certainly right, the 4 foot ones seem to be cheaper than the 6 foot ones by a big margin.
