Do people still get up early enough to leave at 7:00am? :o I'm also all packed up (except for the cold stuff) and ready to go. We're going to leave around 11:00am (pacific time) and spend a night in Phoenix, AZ with one of my daughters. Then on to Bisbee, AZ and the Shady Dell Trailer Park. We'll be coming into Cloudcroft Thursday afternoon. Save me a spot close to the Pit-T. ;)

I'm still wondering about the 9000 feet. Got to have something to think about.

Heck yeah Gage,

We will head out by 6am to get us there at 6pm or 5pm NM time. 12 hard hours for us.

See ya Thursday. have a safe trip

You all have a great time. I wish I could be there with you. Maybe next year. I hope you have perfect weather -- or maybe I should wish you terrible weather, so you'll get good weather.

I'll think about you as I sweat a couple of gallons here in Texas on the 4th of July. :sweaty:

Cindy and I will finish packing today and will leave right after work on Thursday. Won't be there until Friday morning late. Be glad when work doesn't interfere with camping.

Looks like I won't be able to come to Cloudcroft. The plumbing in the upstairs bathroom room has sprung a leak and I have water dripping through the downstairs ceiling. :x Now I have to pay a plumber so there goes my camping money. I was really looking forward to seeing everyone again. You guys have fun and take lots of pics so I can see what I missed.

It was really hot in Bisbee last night. Tough sleeping, that is for sure. We should be rolling out soon and on the way. Hope it is cooler there.

I saw on the news last night that heavy rains are predicted for the Sacremento mountains due to hurricane Alex. Also there was flooding in Carlsbad yesterday. Harvey and Lenore were supposed to be in Carlsbad yesterday. Have they made it in yet? I'm saying a prayer that everyone is safe and that the thunderstorms bypass Cloudcroft and you have nothing but sunshine. Have fun and be safe.

I count 12 trailers so far. I need to figure out how to embed photos using the iPhone.

We made it home last night around 8:30 pm.
took us 13 hours to get home. Ill unpack everything sometime this week.

Everyone made it to Cloudcroft except for Jazzy Lynn and ARKPAT.

We did have rain off and on Thursday morning but it set in for the afternoon. We parked 3 tears under the big pavilion due to the rain. It faired off for the evening for the most part.
Friday we had rain off and on but Saturday was beautiful.

We missed those that could not make the trip and Gage who had to leave out on Friday due to the altitude.

The friendship and potluck was awesome as usual.

I think we are planning this gathering again for next year but it won't be the July 4th weekend. (The rude folks in the big rigs reserved the Upper Fir Campground it out from under us)
I will be attempting to reserve the Thurs, Fri and Sat after July 4th. This should be the same weekend as their July Jamboree in Cloudcroft. They have vendors set up in the park.
More info when I have it.

Time to get ready for work. Will get my pics uploaded this evening I hope.

Cloudcroft 2011

Like we discussed in Cloudcroft, the big rigs reserved the Upper Fir campground out from under us for July 4th weekend next year.
We decided the following weekend would be good as Cloudcroft has their July jamboree that weekend.
I planned to reserve the Upper Fir campground this week for July 7,8,9 2011.

But.............Here is the thing

I found out on Monday that we might be making a two week trip to Utah in June 2011 and if that's the case we won't make it to Cloudcroft also.

If someone else wants to go ahead and head off the Cloudcroft gathering for 2011 and reserve the Upper Fir Campground that would be great. I can give you information that I have.
Or
we can wait until I know for sure about our trip.
